Approximately 14 inches long from Pliocene epoh. Age is 3-5 million years old. From Tamiami Geological Formation. Came as a result of fluctuating global sea levels caused by ice age and other climate shifts. Typical depth of the Pliocene layer in Punta Garda area of Florida is 30-37 feet down into the Earth. This particular shell is not in perfect condition, it has been buried in the Earth for millions of years.
